KHE has established and been applied the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System Standards for Design, Manufacture Installation and Servicing of pressure vessels, heat exchanger, louvers and welded steel structures from August, 2001 and it was also proved by audits in accordance with the requirements of KSA

KHE has been qualified the authoritative seals of excellence in manufacturing of pressure vessels from june, 1995 by the American society of mechanical engineers(ASME). All of KHE’s products are bulit in accordance with the requirements of the ASME Boiler and pressure vessel code.

KHE had been audited and approved to manufacture the Pressure Vessels by General Administration of Quality Supervision and Inspection & Quarantine of the People's Republic of China from April, 2005.

KHE's quality system was also proved by the audit in accordance with the requirement of SQL system by center of boiler and pressure vessel inspection & research(CBPVI), China in August, 1999.

      All materials shall be inspected to ensure that they are traceable to the Material Test Report       (MTR) and have no injurious defects such as crack, lamination and lack of thickness.

  square02_blue.gif  Material Marking and Cutting Inspection
     All the plates, pipes and forgings used in the manufacture of pressure parts shall be      identified with the marking, and then materials shall be inspected for dimension before and      after cutting.
  square02_blue.gif  Fit-Up Inspection

     Before any welding takes place, all weld bevels shall be examined using liquid penetrate for      edge defers and laminations, and shall be visually inspected internally and externally for      necks, dents, general damege, or other surface defects.

     Visual and dimensional inspection shall be performed in 5 % of total tubes after finning.
  square02_blue.gif  Visual Inspection for welded Joints
     All adjacent area on both sides of welded joint shall be checked to ensure wall thickness is      not reduced below minimum wall thickness shown on drawings.l
  square02_blue.gif  Nondestructive Examination (NDE)
      Applicable NDE will be performed after PWHT according to job specification. There are       Liquid Penetrant Examination(PT) or Magnetic Particle Examination(MT), Radiograph       Examination(RT), and Ultrasonic Examination(UT)

      Dimension of shell and other main parts shall be checked in accordance with applicable       approved drawings at suitable stage during fabrication & after completion of construction
  square02_blue.gif  PWHT & Hardness Inspection
     PWHT will be performed in accordance with written procedure.
  square02_blue.gif  Tube Hole & Tube Expanding Inspection
      Every tube hole will be inspected whether it is free form defects such as burr, scratches       and checked by cylinder gage for the 10% of total holes. And groove of tube hole is also       visually checked. Tube Expanding inspection will be performed in accordance to written       procedure.

     Pressure test shall be performed at condition specified on the approved fabrication      drawings. All air coolers shall be hydrostatically tested.
  square02_blue.gif  Inspection of Cleaning, Painting, and Shipping
     Surgace shall be free from mill scale, rust, welding slag, coatings, grease, oils, shop dirt,      slips, water, other foreign materials and weld spatter. And inspection of painting shall be      performed as job specificatins. Then, air coolers shall be shipped as required by the      approved fabrication drawings and shipping procedure.

  QA/QC Polocy Statement by the president of KHE

 
"The policy of Korea Heat Exchanger Ind. Co., Ltd.(KHE) is to fabricate and install pressure vessels in factories and at field sites controlled by the factories in conformance with all requirements of ASME Code Section VIII, Div.1 and contractual requirements.

KHE has established the quality control system to maintain and improve quality, and also to supply safe and reliable products to customers in compliance with the Code standards. This manual is a description of the quality control system. Some portions of this manual is a applied to a quality control system. Some portions of this manual can also be applied to a project with does not require the Code stamping whenever the customers specifically notify us.

No person in this organization will deviate from these quality standards set forth herein.

QC Manager has sufficient and well defined responsibility, authority and organizational freedom to identify quality control problems and to initiate, recommend and provide solutions. QC Manager stops works if further processing may result non-conformance with the applicable code and customer's specification.

In the event that any problems or differences in opinions cannot be resolved within the organization, they shall be brought to my attention for the final resolution. The resolution shall be within the limits of the Code and this manual"
